Error in Part UHX Equation in Table UHX-13.1 Several revisions were made to Part UHX in the 2008 Addenda of Section VIII, Division 1. A typographical error has been identified in an equation given in Table UHX-13.1 that would dramatically change the outcome of the calculation. In the equation for " Zm ", the term " ber' (Xa) " in the numerator should be " ber' ^2 (Xa) ". Technical Bulletin 45 has a PDF file containing the marked up correction to Table UHX-13.1.

B16.5-2003 Errata There have been two Errata issued on B16.5 2003.
1. Tables 16 and F16 presently restrict the use of threaded and slip-on flanges to NPS 1/2 to 2 1/2 for Class 600; this is an error, and the restriction should only apply to socket welded flanges.
2. Dimension errors in Table 5.
Please refer to the following website which lists the current approved errata for ASME B16.5-2003:

Errata Identified during Subcomittee VIII Meeting, Feb. 1, 2007
During each meeting of the ASME Subcommittee on Pressure Vessels (SC-VIII), typographical errors found in the documents are corrected as errata in an upcoming Addenda or Edition. Technical Bulletin 43 contains some of the more serious technical errata identified during the February 1, 2007 meeting. Section VIII, Division 2 certificate holders should pay special attention to the errata identified on the design fatigue curves for carbon and low alloy steel.

Restrictions on the Use of Rod and Bar for Pressure Vessel Components
